Euro banking association makes key executive appointments

The EBA Clearing Company today announced the creation of three new executive posts - Head of Bank Relations, Head of Operations and Head of Strategy and Business Development.

Alan Taylor, 46, has been appointed Head of Bank Relations and will be the key interface between the EBA and its member banks. His role will be to ensure that the EBA is meeting members’ needs, in particular providing support and advice on their euro clearing strategies and the EBA Euro Clearing System. In his previous role, Alan spent five years working as Clearing Manager of the EBA for ECU Clearing.

Andrè Vink, 36, formerly Deputy Clearing Manager at the EBA, has been appointed Head of Operations and will be responsible for day to day operational activities of the EBA Clearing Company.

George Georgakopoulos, 29, has been appointed as Head of Strategy and Business Development and will focus in particular on enhancements to the EBA Euro Clearing System and future developments.

Gilbert Lichter, Secretary General of the Euro Banking Association and CEO of the EBA Clearing Company, said "The appointments further enhance our organisational structure, demonstrating our continuing commitment to support our members’ interests."
